CURRICULUM
Islam’s place in everyday learning
Since establishment, our teaching and learning approach has been built on the curriculum set by the New South Wales Education Standards Authority (NESA).
As an Islamic school, we also recognise the importance of studying Islam and its role in shaping our values. By incorporating the study of religion into our everyday, we hope to help our students develop a deeper understanding of their faith and its place in the world.
KINDERGARTEN & PRIMARY
Starting from the smallest of seeds
Kindergarten and primary school is an important time for children to gain an understanding of their faith, and to that end our young students have the opportunity to learn a wide range of subjects including English, Mathematics, Science, Islamic Studies and more. Our aim is to provide a holistic education that covers a broad spectrum of subjects, with Islam being an integral part of the learning environment.
In addition, we also offer a range of faith-led activities including prayer practice, Quran recitation and community involvement to support spiritual growth and development.
We believe that by providing a primary school education that is grounded in Islam, we can help to develop a strong sense of identity, purpose, and belonging for children growing up in Australia.
SECONDARY
Preparing for life after school
In secondary school, students have access to a diverse range of subjects, including English, Mathematics, Science, Islamic Studies, Geography, History, Technology, Music, PDHPE, and Visual Arts. They also have the opportunity to study the Arabic language offering students a deeper connection to Islamic heritage and global communication skills.
During this time our goal is to provide a broad overview of subject areas that can lay the foundation for a future learning journey. As students progress through their education, they will continue to study core subjects while also being encouraged to tailor their learning program to their specific needs and interests.
Secondary school is a formative stage in a young person’s life, and is an important time for students to deepen their understanding of their faith and how to live as Muslims in the world. As a result, we strive to provide an educational experience that is conducive to spiritual, intellectual, physical and emotional growth as students prepare for the next chapter of their lives.
ISLAMIC STUDIES
Bound in faith
At Malek Fahd Islamic School, we place a strong emphasis on helping our students deepen their understanding of the Qur’an and its Islamic teachings. Moreover, we foster the development of students’ Arabic language skills as the language of Islam.
We believe that by providing a well-rounded and comprehensive Islamic education, we can help young people to become confident and accomplished ambassadors of Islam, and to develop a deeper appreciation for the religion as they mature.
EXTRA-CURRICULAR PROGRAMS
Outside the classroom and into the community
Learning and growth should not be confined to the classroom, and at Malek Fahd Islamic School we offer a range of extra-curricular activities that help our students explore their interests and make meaningful contributions to their community.
These programs include sports, music and drama, as well as clubs and societies that focus on a variety of interests. We also encourage our students to get involved in servitude and volunteering opportunities, both within and outside of the school community.
By participating in these programs, our students have the chance to acquire knowledge and skills in exciting ways, and to develop a greater sense of purpose and responsibility for the wider ummah.

The Qur’an teaches that all human-kind are equal in the eyes of Allah (S.W.T.). It also teaches that it is the duty of Muslims to care for and support one another, and to work for the common good of the community.
It is through these words of wisdom that we recognise our responsibility as educators to ensure that every student has the support and resources they need to succeed in school.
This mission encompasses not only those who are already achieving excellence but expands to anyone who may need additional support in their learning journey.
